Boats

Full refit at English drydock and yearly IT maintenance

A 72-meters yacht requested a yearly full maintenance contract for all onboard computers and network device. We went to Cornwall in the English drydock to prepare everything for maintenance : workstations and servers standardization and optimization, network huge upgrade, new software and hardware solutions for billing purpose on charter. Remote and onboard maintenance is still ongoing fine.

Complete network and servers refit at shipyard

A 60-meters yacht needed a complete upgrade of the entire network and servers : wireless and wired network, new quicker internet satellite connexion, broadband 3G and WiMAX router setup as well as complete on-board mail server setup with all according accounts and connexions. This project took one entire week to be successfully completed.

Navigation computer replacement

A 65-meters yacht had a defective Transas navigation computer. We've replaced it with a brand new one and successfully reconfigured Transas software.

Yacht network link with owner's flat in Monaco

Boat owner already had broadband internet connexion in Monaco with wireless network (installed by us). He wanted to share his connexion with his boat a few dozen meters away in Fontvieille port. Additional wireless highly-secured device were installed to extend apartment wireless range to reach the boat.

Infected captain's laptop cured on yacht in Port Vauban, Antibes

Captain's laptop was also used by most of the crew to communicate with their friends and family, as well as browse the internet. Because of lots of users and bad security, this laptop was infected by more than 1000 viruses and spywares !! We performed several scans and anti spywares sweeps, and finished removing the most dangerous threats manually. Then the laptop was secured with according software and everything is working now.

Fixed FT phone line and land internet connexion setup on boat in Port Vauban

One boat needed braodband internet connexion at berth in Port Vauban, but also lacked the land phone line. We took care of the entire project from ordering the France Telecom phone line at berth, purchasing and installing Club Internet 3 Triple Play offer. We also setup the internal boat network using wireless and powerline current technologies. Now the boat has high speed internet with free phone calls in more than 40 countries and ADSL TV onboard.

Wireless network setup on boat in Golfe Juan

A big boat in Golfe Juan needed wireless network on all desks for the owner, a busy businessman. We studied the boat configuration and defined the network architecture to get network on all desks as well as master and VIP rooms. We installed several wireless extenders and powerline current to achieve so.

Chart plotter PC link replaced on-board in Port Vauban, Antibes

On a 40-metres yacht, the desktop PC connected to the chart plotter to show in overlay regional map and boat position had crashed. We replaced it and reinstalled any software needed, along with chart plotter connection.

Cloud computing for small business in the yachting market

Professional customer wanted to have access to his mail and files from anywhere and any device (iPad, iPhone and cybercafés). We've moved all his IT to the cloud so he can now work any time everywhere.

Long-term regular maintenance for five firms in Antibes area since several years

Small Business IT in Antibes running half a dozen computers and 1 Microsoft SBS server (Windows 2003 + Active Directory + Exchange) was audited and optimized. Remote maintenance tools were installed to ease repair and long-term support. Since then, regular PC maintenance and some hardware upgrades made possible a highly available and efficient IT environment for happy customers.

25-people SMB audit in Antibes

Yacht agency in Antibes running 25 desktops (mixed Linux, Mac and Windows) as well as 5 servers including Lotus Notes product was audited and optimization solution were proposed and implemented.

Local community web site design and development for La Gaude

Local association in La Gaude wanted a community web site. We have spent time defining the needs with customer and concluded to develop and design the web site using a Content Management System (CMS) in PHP/MySQL. The site is lagaude.com.

Businessman office re creation in Biot

English businessman needed an entire new office in his villa in Biot. All peripherals were connected in wireless bluetooth (printer, scanner, camera, web cam) to the new desktop. Internet connection including free phone calls, TV and wireless radio device were also installed.
